Jeff Werner, CPA
Jeff has been practicing public accounting in Tampa Bay, FL since 2002 when he founded his first CPA firm in St. Petersburg to provide tax and accounting services, registered investment advising, and homeowner / condominium association audits.
Mr. Werner also has experience working as a forensic accountant for the FBI's Counterintelligence Division in New York City where he crafted financial intelligence to produce forensically sound reports for case agents and assistant US attorneys with the Southern District of New York.
Additionally, Mr. Werner was deployed with the US Department of Defense in Kabul, Afghanistan where he supervised global forensic accounting investigations of contractor fraud, waste and abuse, and of transnational criminal network, warlord and insurgent activities; and most recently, he worked with the US Department of State auditing KSA programs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Werner currently specializes in individual and business tax matters as well as, financial and estate planning services for high net-worth individuals, and consulting services for a variety of small to midsize private businesses.
Moreover, Mr. Werner provides clients with global fraud investigations and CFO services; and he is currently the CFO and board member of a multi-state construction management and staffing company.
Jeff is from St. Petersburg, FL and moved to Seattle in the '90s where he completed a Bachelor's in General Studies and an MBA in Financial Management from City University. He did a tax internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Seattle and then completed his fifth year of Accounting at the University of Tampa.
Mr. Werner also holds certifications as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and he maintains memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
